Sciton Lasering

Laser treatments are a total fan favorite. Below you’ll find some of the basics and a description of the kinds of treatments we offer here at the office. Please contact us with any questions you might have.

What is the Sciton Laser? The Sciton laser is a multi-application laser, which means that it can be used for a variety of treatments including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and sun damage.

How does the Sciton Laser work? The Sciton laser works by emitting light energy that is absorbed by the skin. This light energy then converts into heat, which helps to improve the appearance of the skin. It is a non-invasive procedure, which means that it does not require any incisions. Some of the most common treatments include:

  • Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy: uses broadband light to improve the appearance of the skin.

  • BBL: uses broadband light to improve the appearance of the skin. It can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, age spots, rosacea, uneven skin tone, pores, and acne scars.

  • SkinTyte: uses infrared light to tighten and rejuvenate the skin. This can be used to treat a variety of areas on the body including the face, neck, décolletage, abdomen, arms, and legs to improve the appearance of lax skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and pores.

  • Halo: the treatment is a hybrid fractional laser treatment that uses both ablative and non-ablative laser wavelengths to effectively treat multiple layers of the skin. The ablative technology targets the top layer of the skin, while the non-ablative technology focuses on the underlying layers. Together, the dual wavelengths target common skin concerns with minimal downtime. This is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, age spots, uneven skin tone, pores, and scarring.

  • Micro Laser Peel (MPL): uses a fractionated erbium-YAG laser to remove the outer layer of skin. The treatment is designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, and other skin imperfections. The MicroLaserPeel is a safe and effective treatment that can be used on all skin types.

  • Profractional: uses fractional laser technology to improve the appearance of the skin. This process results in the production of new collagen and elastin, which can lead to a smoother, more youthful appearance. We love this when treating those fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, and acne scars.

What can I expect during this treatment? The laser will emit light energy that is absorbed by the skin. This light energy then converts into heat. The heat from the laser causes the collagen in the skin to contract, which helps to tighten the skin. The laser also helps to stimulate the production of new collagen, which helps to improve the overall appearance of the skin.
