About Dr. Linda Huang

Linda Huang, originally from Ohio, is a summa cum laude graduate of Yale College. National Merit Scholar, Phi Beta Kappa, yadda yadda yadda. She went to Stanford Medical School, where the plastic surgery department was larger than the general surgery program. The wide variety of challenging problems, and the smiles on the faces of patients who were happy to achieve the unachievable, convinced her that the future was in plastics.

After medical school Doctor Huang returned to the east coast, married her college sweetheart, and did her first residency at Georgetown University. He, anxious not to be known as “the bum,” went to law school, clerked, joined a law firm and became a partner, all the while Doctor Huang was still doing her residencies. General surgery at Georgetown was a five-year program. She was board certified in general surgery. After that, she headed to Duke University for her Plastic Surgery Fellowship, where she had the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of plastic surgeons, including Doctor Nicholas Georgiade, who literally wrote “The Book” on plastic surgery. She also completed a Microsurgery and Hand Fellowship in Louisville. Finally, much to her father’s relief, she started a practice here in Denver, where her husband’s law firm had a small office.

Doctor Huang has been in private practice in Denver since January 1988. She is board-certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery—the one that matters. She has been honored in the annual poll of area doctors by 5280 Magazine on who would you go to, or send your family to, as a TOP DOC for 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. She has appeared on TV (Channels 4, 7, 9 and Fox), and written a few articles here and there (including a chapter in Doctor Georgiade’s book!) She gained fame (or notoriety) for supporting women in the breast implant debates. But most importantly she has had the best time working with many, many people, helping them reach their goals. Doctor Huang loves working with patients – talking with them, nagging at them, dealing with their needs and wants. She really always tries to do her best, and is never just satisfied with a job done, it must be a job well done. She always goes for the extra credit.

Linda Huang lives in Denver with her husband, a dog and a parrot. The kids are gone!
